Help! What To Do This Summer in Dallas, TX!

dallas summerSummer is just around the corner in Dallas, TX and with the end of the school year approaching you might be wondering what you are going to do to keep everyone entertained for the next few months.  Well wonder no more…we put this article together to show you some of the kid-friendly events and attractions taking place around Dallas/Fort Worth.

Klyde Warren Park – This 5.2 acre deck park is an urban green space built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway in downtown Dallas.  The park is open daily and offers free programming for the public ranging from yoga to book signings to outdoor concerts and films.  Also located on the property is Savor which is a higher end gastropub ideal for family gatherings and great bites!

Perot Museum of Nature and Science – The museum is located in Victory Park, near Downtown Dallas.  It is open daily to the public and the exhibits do change often.  The goal of the museum is to provide learning through hands-on experiences and spark curiosity in all ages.  The Perot Museum exposes our children to a world of ideas and concepts in science, math and technology, all within one spectacular location.

Dallas Children’s Theatre – Hats off to 30! As they celebrate 30 great years of service to the community, Dallas Children’s Theater announces an astonishing lineup of shows and activities including a hat design contest, a community birthday party, and more free show-themed parties on opening nights!  Their lineup includes Stuart Little, Charlotte’s Web and many more!

Dallas Comic Con – Taking over the Dallas Convention Center Friday, May 16th to Sunday, May 18th, this year’s Comic Con is striving to be the biggest and best yet!  Some of the celebrities scheduled to appear include: William Shatner, Nathan Fillion, Stan Lee, Judd Nelson and Christopher Lloyd.

Wildflower – Here is a little something for a more mature audience.  Wildflower is a multi-day eclectic arts and music festival that will take place in Galatyn Park, located outside of the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts.  This year the event will feature Lonestay, The Wallflowers, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kool & The Gang, as well as many more!

Hopefully these will give you a springboard into summer.  If your summer plans include a new home purchase we would love to be of assistance.  Give us a call today to talk about your needs and maybe while the kids are out having fun you can look for a new place to call home!
